How to register for the Sacrament of Baptism


Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church celebrates the Sacrament of Baptism for children of registered parishioners on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month (after the 11am Mass). This schedule does deviate slightly during special periods of the liturgical year such as Lent.  Please call the parish office to select your baptism class and date.

Please download the form or stop by the parish office for your New Parishioner Package or call our office at 302.764.0357 to provide your mailing address.

Schedule your Class and Sacrament

All parents must complete a baptism zoom class.  We offer Baptism 1 classes for new parents and Baptism 2 classes for your second, third, fourth and so on.   The dates are as follows for each class:

Baptism 1 class:

Feb. 3rd, April 7th, June 2nd, Aug. 4th, Oct. 6th,

& Dec. 8th.

Baptism 2 class:

Jan. 27th, March 24th, May 26th, July 28th, Sept. 22, & Nov. 24th.
Please call the parish office to confirm a spot on our lists!  At this time, you will choose a date.  Typically, Baptisms are held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month in small groups of 3-4 children.

Select God Parents & Send in forms

At this time, you will select your child's God Parents.  One MUST BE OF THE CATHOLIC FAITH.  Each God Parent will fill out an eligibility form (Catholic in good standing or Christian Witness form).  This form is above in the button.

Join us for mass and your child's first sacrament.

We invite you and your family to join us in mass at 11am.  Baptisms will follow (approx. 12pm).  If you are not attending mass we ask that you arrive 15 minutes early (11:45am) to prepare.
